Yoga + Pilates = Barre 3

Is this the first time you're hearing about Barre 3?
It was also my first when I got to try this at the Barre 3 exercise studio of The Spa in Bonifacio High Street in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Simply said, Barre 3 is yoga meets pilates. Technically, Barre is a highly effective 60-minute workout using the ballet barre as a prop to create equal length and strength in the body.

As a class, it follows a set of sequences that adds up to blend the grace of exercising in a ballet barre with the wisdom of yoga and strength of pilates.
I regularly exercised Hatha Yoga every week for a year some few years ago, and indeed, I found a lot of similarity in movement and poses except that classes in barre 3 are, for the most part, taught in a more upbeat soundtrack to go with the vigorous pace of the class.
Some of the health benefits include stress relief and reconnection with the mind, body, and breath. As a form of exercise, it helps in weight reduction as body fat is burned. It builds longer and leaner muscles with a strong core and balance as well.
